One of the greatest of all time, as far as I'm concerned. Big L is the greatest "what if" story in Hip-Hop, a genre which has, historically, had an abundance of "what if" stories. But even with just one album released in his life time and a killer posthumous release, his legacy is unquestionably cemented. It's crazy how overlooked and under appreciated he was during his lifetime; sure, you could blame the sheer magnitude of classic material released around the same time that might have overshadowed L, but it's criminal if people nowadays don't place him in their top MCs. Listen to the deep cut track "Now Or Never" if you never heard it before, and literally any track off of "Lifestylez" is a great showcase of his singular talent, although I think "MVP" has his most classic lines. Speaking of which, I'm just gonna drop a few L bars to prove my point and highlight his crazy multi-syllabic rhyme structures:

"In a street brawl I strike men quicker than lightning, you seen what happened in my last fight friend, aight then"
"I pack a gat, not a slingshot, step to this and get an ass-whoopin' like Rodney King got"

big l , biggie smalls, 2pac, big daddy kane, celh titled, i think big l is the best cause like biggie he only made 2 albums but he didnt go platnum and it was his time if he finishes the big picture cause he died during the making it would have been the greatest hip hop/ rap album ever same with the next and the next
