Big Pun is who I grew up with, and has been influential ever since. I really think he belongs as a hip hop legend.

To make his dream possible, his sister Nicole Rodriguez opened the Hugs From Pun Foundation in hopes of “Building Today’s Youth’ Through mentorship and music, our children can be inspired from greatness within their own communities. Our mission is to inspire and uplift our youth by providing an outlet to prevent children whom are victims of abusive households or exposed to everyday negativity to repeat the cycle in their adult lives. Furthermore, keep our children out of trouble and in touch with their creativity for a bright future.

just to inform you -to continue on her brother's Legacy- sister of Big Pun, Nicole "Nicky" Rodriguez has been pushing real hard on leaving her brother's memory alive on a positive note- she has been fighting since Feb. of 2010 for a street name in his honor and so far so good. She is focused on building a community and giving back just as BIG PUN was beginning to do-Nicole is just here to finsh it off for him. In honor of BIG PUN,Nicole was assisted by Triple Seis in holding up three events within the year to gather petition signatures for a street name in his honor and have gathered nearly 5,000 signatures from fans and community supporters. Currently Nicole is in the works of her foundation "HUGS FROM PUN: THE CHRISTOPHER L. RIOS FOUNDATION". This will allow her to fullfill her brother's life long dream "to give back" after he made it as an artist. On 9/3/11, Nicole will be donating school supplies for 500 kids within the Bronx community. The Bronx is where Hip-Hop originated and a city that molded BIG PUN into becoming the First time Latino Hip Hop Artist to go Platinum- a product from the hood that proved that no matter what hard of a life you come from -"You can make it". In honor of her brother BIG PUN, Nicole will end this year with donations to help families in need have a Thanksgiving this year by donating turkeys. This was something BIG PUN did before his death:he donated turkeys, toys for kids to have a christmas and even opened up an outreach centers to keep kids out of trouble by offering a recreational safe haven. Nicole has worked hard to fullfill her brother's dream and with their mother suffering from Congestive Heart Failure it is her dieing wish to see her son be honored for his hard work. THANK YOU
