How in the world do you honor Missy Elliot before the Queen!!! Nothing against Missy at all. I love me some Missy Elliot but come on people! Who is making up the the list of honorees!

I KNOW THEY HONORED GRANDMASTER FLASHAND KOOL HERC PREVIOUSLY BUT I THINK VH1 SHOULD HONOR ALL THE PIONEER DJ'S: RED ALERT, DJ JAZZY JEFF, JAM MASTER JAY, DJ PREMIER, KID CAPRI AND THE LIST COULD GO ON. P.S. WHY HASN'T QUEEN LATIFAH BEEN HONORED YET ?

Will somebody PLEASE tell me WHY in the HE** the Queen has NOT been honored? She should have been one of the 1st one's right along with MC Lyte, and way before Missy Elliott. I love Missy, but it is not her time.

The Pioneers should all be honored before anybody else, no matter what their contributions to music have been. The 1st 10 shows should be for the pioneers (1980s-1995) including movies from that time as well.

I don't know who's doing the picking each year, but they need to go over the entire list again, because they are missing some great people. Doug E. Fresh, Biz Markie, Boogie Down Production, Heavy D and the Boys, just to name a few.

Come on people, you need to rethink this process. Please don't tell me you are choosing your honorees by the mere voting results of possible youngster obviously too young to remember or appreciate where rap started and the artist that paved the way for the likes of Tweet, TI, Chingy, and Kanye.
