Public Enemy

Public Enemy's use of samples, dense production, and socially conscious lyrics helped to define the sound of hip-hop in the late 80s and early 90s. Their landmark 1988 album "It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back" is widely regarded as one of the greatest albums of all-time in any genre.
